That video has hit every news outlet in the country. I feel sooo sorry for that girl, everyone is making fun of her. It would be too easy to write her off as a dumb blonde beauty contestent. She was probably extremely nervous and could not figure out what to say.

Poor kid. As one who falls apart in the spotlight, I have sympathy! On the Today Show she saw that tape for the first time and explained she was so overwhelmed on the national stage she only heard a couple words of the question. Then they gave her a chance to answer the same question and she nailed it by mentioning geography education instead of South Africa and the Iraq and such like.
