It was easy to remember the significance of today, especially driving by Forest Lawn cemetary multiple times and seeing the sea of American Flags staked in the grass. One family had brought lawn chairs to the gravesite and seemed to be playing card games together. Another elderly couple sat solemnly on the ground and arranged flowers at the base of the headstone. Thank you, Lord, for days like this...to be thankful for the health and safety of those we know who are serving in our military, and to mourn with those who have lost friends and family. I hope your Memorial Day was peaceful.
