Paraskavedekatriaphobia is a fear of FRIDAY the 13th.

I was interested in the origin of this superstition, so I checked it out. Though it can't be traced to one event, there are many theories surrounding this significant date. Some include:
1. The Last Supper...with Judas being the 13th guest, and the crucifixion of Jesus occuring on a Friday.
2. Reports that the biblical offering of the apple from Eve to Adam occured on a Friday, as did the slaying of Abel (though this is never documented in the Bible)
3. That it started on Friday, October 13, 1307, the date that many Knights Templar were simultaneously arrested in France, by agents of King Philip IV.
The next Friday the 13th will be in July, 2007.
